Building with lots and lots of character. Which can at times be tricky re access (had in-laws in late 80s / early 90s with us) but it was all pretty easy to negotiate. Friendly staff. Laid back feel to it. And of course a great view of the gorge and bridge - particularly from the terrace and breakfast room / restaurant. We took a deluxe room to have a view of the gorge and upgraded the inlaws for £65 a night to a junior suite which was lovely. Excellent breakfast. Nice snug cocktail bar by reception. Parking permits available from reception, spaces in surrounding streets within a couple of minutes of the hotel quite easy to find on our dates. Great base for exploring the rather charming Clifton area.

Amazing hotel in an amazing location! Dinner menu was great (although they were out of a few things late on a Sunday when we arrived) and the bar was also amazing. The view from our room was fantastic, with the suspension bridge seen out of our window. The hotel was on a hill which was awful to walk up, fine to drive up and amazing to see from! We walked to the nearby cafe 360 near the bridge after checking out and enjoyed a drink and the view. Also close to one of the high streets that was full of shops and cool cafes. Really enjoyed the shower products provided, they were of amazing quality. The decor was fabulous and really cosy. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!

The room was fantastic, it had access to a beautiful private terrace (we got a very affordable upgrade) but I am sure the balcony room was wonderful too! Very enjoyable 2 days: an amazing suite, unbeatable views over the bridge and great location- the area is delightful. A very stylish hotel, friendly stuff in the reception, in the pub and the bar. We didn't eat at the restaurant, we are more late breakfast -" brunchers" - and sadly for lunch we got bad planning in our side. Ahh, they also helped us with the parking ! It was a brilliant choice! We will repeat if we have the chance, because we loved it.

The Room was gorgeous and big. We really liked to find so many little details in the Room to make you feel Welcome. Like little Towels for the Face, L’Occitane Soap, Nail File, Plugs and USB Plug beside the bed (!) The Reception and all the staff was super helpful and friendly. The morning coffee was lovely!! The option to have only coffee (!!) Instead of a full breakfast because we don’t take breakfast at all, but we do have coffee’s (I know, it’s not healthy 🙄)

Claudia

The room was lovely, clean and spacious. In spite of being on the road side of the hotel, it was incredibly quiet. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble. They also were very accommodating with our dog. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent. The location is fantastic - within walking distance of shops, restaurants, the gorge and the suspension bridge.
